Thin E-Strate® Accelerated Life Testing

Subject:  Accelerated Life Testing of Thin Ceramic Substrates


  • Two types of samples were analyzed:  TZ-3Y and ENrG's Thin E-Strate®.
  • Samples were analyzed for surface monoclinic content by XRD before and after autoclave exposure.
  • Samples were autoclaved at equilibrium pressure, submerged in DI water at 135, 175, and 200°C.  Hold time at temperature was 5 hours.



All samples were intact after exposure except the 3Y treated at 200°C was warped and cracking.
